CANYON, Texas – The eighth ranked Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M trailed by 16 points heading into the locker room for halftime before showing heart with a big second half comeback before falling to the rival TexAnnns of Tarleton in Lone Star Conference action at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- West Texas A&M was led offensively by Delaney Nix who went 6-of-11 from the floor including 4-of-8 from behind the arc for 19 points followed by Lexy Hightower with 15 and Tyesha Taylor with 12, Deleyah Harris grabbed a team-high six rebounds while Nathalie Linden dished out three assists.
- Kaylee Allen led all players with 24 points on the afternoon as the Savannah State transfer went 8-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-10 from deep followed by Katie Webster and Mackenzie Hailey with 13 points each, Hailey grabbed six rebounds while Kylie Collins dished out six assists in the win.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs went 10-of-22 (45.5%) from the field including 2-of-9 (22.2%) from deep and 4-of-8 (50%) from the free throw line to go along with 12 rebounds (two offensive, 10 defensive), six assists, eight turnovers, three steals and one block.
- Tarleton finished the first half going 14-of-29 (48.3%) from the field including 8-of-12 (66.7%) from behind the arc and a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe with 16 rebounds (five offensive, 11 defensive), nine assists, four turnovers, three steals and no blocks.

SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 24-of-48 (50%) from the floor including 6-of-20 (30%) from behind the arc and 11-of-19 (57.9%) from the charity stripe with 23 rebounds (four offensive 19 defensive), nine assists, 16 turnovers, seven steals and one block.
