  • Eastern New Mexico cut the deficit to six capped with an emphatic dunk from Shawn Shelton and a triple from Nick Brown for a 26-20 WT lead with 4:53 left.
  • From there, the Buffs finished the half on an 11-3 run as freshman Gaige Prim finished the scoring in the half with two free throws and a 37-23 lead.
  • Shelton's dunk at the 4:53 mark was the last Greyhound field goal in the half.
  • WT opened the second just as it started the first with a quick spurt as it opened the stanza scoring 13 of the first 19 points for a 50-29 lead capped on a triple from senior Jordan Evans who finished the game with 14 points and three triples all coming in the second half.
  • A technical foul on ENMU's Jamani Pierce on a 3-pointer by Evans gave him five free throws as he knocked all of them down as ENMU had cut the deficit to 16, but Evans' tosses pushed the lead back to 21 at 55-34 with 13:05 left.
  • Evans later buried a triple for a 27-point lead at 61-34 with 12:22 remaining as ENMU got no closer than 24 the rest of the way.
