Lady Buffs Fall to Missouri-St. Louis in Four Sets on Friday Afternoon

 
ST. CHARLES, Missouri – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M started fast but couldn't finish a win on Friday afternoon as they fell to the Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis during the Lindenwood Last Second Challenge at Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Missouri.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Buffs hit just .161 as a team with 47 kills on 149 swings with 23 attack errors to go along with 46 assists, seven service aces, 68 digs and eight total blocks.
- UMSL hit .228 as a team with 53 kills on 149 swings with 19 attack errors to go along with 44 assists, nine service aces, 70 digs and seven total blocks in the win.
- Senior transfer Kamille Jones registered a match-high 15 kills on 40 swings with four errors to hit .275 on the afternoon followed by Crystal Thomas with 13 kills. Selena Batiste led all players with 43 assists while Chandler Vogel (17) and Taylor Kress (11) registered double-digit digs.
 
UP NEXT:
- The Lady Buffs conclude Day 1 of the Lindenwood Last Second Challenge tonight as they take on the Prairie Stars of Illinois-Springfield with first serve set for 7 p.m. at Hyland Arena. UIS fell to Missouri Western in straight sets earlier in the day.
