CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M started fast and outlasted the visiting Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville in four sets in front of over 400 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" during Lone Star Conference play in Canyon.

- The Lady Buffs hit .250 as a team with 64 kills on 148 swings with 27 attack errors to go along with 59 assists, four service aces, 57 digs and seven total blocks in the win.
- Texas A&M-Kingsville registered 49 kills on 135 swings with 18 attack errors to hit .230 on the afternoon with 46 assists, three service aces, 45 digs and eight total blocks.
- WT freshman outside Erin Clark registered 18 kills on 36 swings with just three errors to hit .417 on the afternoon while senior Crystal Thomas tallied 14 kills on 27 swings to hit .407 in the win. Selena Batiste dished out a match high 41 assists while Chandler Vogel led all players with 15 digs.
