SAN ANGELO, Texas – West Texas A&M dropped the opening two sets and battled back to force a fifth and deciding frame but the Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville kept their season alive (21-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-12, 15-12) in the Lone Star Conference Quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon in San Angelo, Texas. The Lady Buffs end their season at 18-14 while the Javelinas move to 26-8 overall.

The Lady Buffs were led offensively by
Cori Haley with 17 kills on 52 swings with seven attack errors to hit .192 in her final collegiate match followed by
Taylor Kress with 12 kills,
Selena Batiste dished out 36 assists on the afternoon while
Lauren Britten ended her storied WT career with 19 digs to run her career total to 2,086 for fourth place all-time in program history. WT registered 48 kills on 185 swings with 31 attack errors to hit .092 on the afternoon with 46 assists, 91 digs and seven total blocks.

Texas A&M-Kingsville was led by Krystal Faison with a match high 19 kills on 59 swings with four attack errors to hit .254 on the afternoon, Casey Klobedans paced the TAMUK offense with 46 assists while Ashley Bukowski led all players with 24 digs. The Javelinas registered 58 kills on 194 swings with 32 attack errors to hit .134 as a team with 55 assists, 99 digs and 13 total blocks.

Texas A&M-Kingsville keeps their NCAA Postseason hopes alive as they advance to tomorrow night's Lone Star Conference Semifinals with first serve set for 5 p.m. at the Junell Center, TAMUK will face off with the winner of a Tarleton State/Western New Mexico quarterfinal taking place at 2:30 p.m.
