SAN ANGELO, Texas – The #10 Rambelles of Angelo State started fast and outlasted the rival West Texas A&M Lady Buffs (15-25, 20-25, 25-22, 22-25) in front of 584 fans at the Junell Center in San Angelo, Texas on Friday night during Lone Star Conference action. The Lady Buffs fall to 14-10 (9-5 LSC) while the Belles take control of the LSC standings at 22-2 (13-1 LSC) as they claim their ninth straight victory.

The Lady Buffs were led offensively by
Cori Haley who tied a career high with 18 kills on 63 swings with eight attack errors to hit .159 on the night followed by fellow senior
Libby Strickland with 11 kills,
Selena Batiste dished out a team high 44 assists on the night with 16 digs for a double-double while
Lauren Britten led the way defensively with 29 digs followed by Haley with 22 for a double-double. The Lady Buffs registered 50 kills on 211 swings with 24 attack errors to hit just .123 as a team with 49 assists, 107 digs and three blocks in the loss.

Angelo State was led by Mallory Blauser with 18 kills on 60 swings with seven attack errors to hit .183 on the night with 20 digs for a double-double followed by Brianna Sotello with 12 kills and 28 digs for a double-double of her own, Meghan Parker guided the ASU offense with 50 assists on the night with 14 digs while Mallory Davidson led all players with 33 digs. The Belles registered 56 kills on 200 swings with 22 attack errors to hit .170 as a team with 63 assists, 110 digs and nine total blocks on the night.

The Lady Buffs finish off their final Lone Star Conference weekend road trip of the season on Saturday afternoon as they take on the TexAnns of Tarleton State with first serve set for 2 p.m. at Wisdom Gym South in Stephenville, Texas. The TexAnns topped UT Permian Basin in four sets on Friday night in Stephenville.
