Buffs Soccer Set to Host 21st Annual Hat Trick Dinner

Ticket Information

CANYON, Texas –
Butch Lauffer, head coach of the West Texas A&M men's soccer team, is proud to announce the date and time for the 21st annual Hat Trick Dinner. The dinner that serves as a fundraiser for the men's soccer scholarship fund will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Amarillo Inn & Suites in Amarillo, Texas. This year's guest speaker will be Glenn Davis, a nationally recognized broadcaster and play-by-play announcer for Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo.

Guests at the Hat Trick Dinner will be served dinner by their designated waiter, a member of the WT men's soccer program. They will also enjoy a cocktail time, a silent auction and the famous tipping of the best waiters in Amarillo. The proceeds generated from the dinner will be used for the men's soccer scholarship fund.

The Buffs welcome Davis, who has had a distinguished career as a broadcaster after starting his career as an analyst for the Houston Hotshots indoor soccer team in 1994, as a guest speaker for the event. He has called games for ESPN, FOX Sports World and NBC which includes coverages of three world cups and two Olympics as well as CONCACAF Champions League and Gold Cup matches. Before getting into broadcasting, Davis was a collegiate soccer All-American and played six years professionally including stints with the United Soccer League's Houston Dynamos, Albany Capitals and Ft. Lauderdale Strikers.  He is the founder of the Kick Cancer Soccer Clinic to aid in the pediatric cancer awareness for the Curing Children's Cancer Fund. He is also the host and owner of Soccer Matters, a broadcast on ESPN 97.5 radio.

Tickets are now available for purchase. Individual tickets are available for $35 as well as corporate tables for $240. Please Contact Lauffer at rlauffer@wtamu.edu for more information and to purchase tickets.

WHY HAT TRICK?
The WT men's soccer program hopes to accomplish three goals with the Hat Trick Dinner. First, they want to provide a fun environment with an opportunity to fellowship. Second, it gives a chance for the alumni, community, and local organizations to be involved with the program. Third, it provides an opportunity to increase in scholarship and alumni fund for the program.
