Entering the series, the Buffs are 31-16 overall and 20-12 in Lone Star Conference play and are tied atop the league standings with Texas A&M-Kingsville. TAMUK would have the edge over WT in hosting the Lone Star Conference Baseball Tournament next week if the two teams end tied by virtue of the head-to-head series win by the Javelinas over the Buffs this season.
If Angelo State, who sits one game back of WT and TAMUK heading into the final week, also ties for the regular season title, the Buffs would host the LSC Championship by having the best record (6-1) against Tarleton State, who currently sits fourth in the league standings.
The 2015 Lone Star Conference Baseball Championship is scheduled for May 7-9 at the regular season champion. WT finished as LSC Tournament runner-up last season in Kingsville, Texas, which was the best finish in program history for the Buffs.

WT and Cameron split their first series in March in Lawton, Okla., while Tarleton State went 3-1 against TAMUK, as did Eastern New Mexico against Angelo State. All teams are scheduled to play Friday night and Saturday afternoon, however the schedule is subject to change based on weather.
