WICHITA, Kansas – West Texas A&M  junior outside hitter Cori Haley registered 14 kills on 31 swings with just two attack errors as she led the Lady Buffs in a neutral site sweep of the Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies (25-15, 25-10, 25-16) on Friday afternoon at Fugate Gymnasium on the campus of Newman University. The Lady Buffs claim their second straight win to move to 13-15 on the season while the Aggies dropped their 26th straight contest to move to 1-29 on the season.
 
The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Haley with a match high 14 kills on 31 swings with just two attack errors to hit .387 on the afternoon followed by Carissa Henning with seven kills while Michaela Montgomery and Lexi Davis had five each, Jackson guided the WT offense with 35 assists to lead all players while Britten tied a match high with 14 digs on the afternoon. The Lady Buffs hit .348 as a team with 40 kills on 89 swings with just nine errors to go along with 39 assists, three service aces, 55 digs and 12 total blocks in the match.
 
Oklahoma Panhandle State was led by Madigan Gonzales who tallied seven kills on 24 swings with 10 attack errors to hit -.125 on the afternoon, the Aggies were led by Reinick with 13 assists on the afternoon while Rubio tied a match high with 14 digs. The Aggies hit .018 as a team with 28 kills on 110 swings with 26 attack errors to go along with 25 assists, one service ace, 39 digs and just four blocks in the match.
 
NEXT TIME OUT
The Lady Buffs remain in Wichita, Kansas for the remainder of the weekend as they are set for a matchup with the host Newman Jets tonight with first serve set for 7 p.m. at Fugate Gymnasium followed by a Saturday afternoon showdown with the defending South Central Regional Champion Lions of Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
