Biography

2014 (Sophomore):
Mayer had a breakout sophomore season for the Lady Buffs in 2014, seeing time in 31 matches with 16 starts. The Colorado native registered 66 kills (0.97/set) on 195 attempts to hit .159 on the season to go along with 59 total blocks (8 solo, 51 assisted) to average 0.87 per set. Mayer stepped into a starting role early in the season and ran with the opportunity as she had one of her best statistical games on Sept. 12th against Fort Lewis with nine kills to tie a career high on just 17 attempts to hit .353 on the afternoon. Mayer excelled in the classroom for the Lady Buffs as she was named a member of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall and spring semester.
 
2013 (Redshirt Freshman):
Mayer suffered an injury early in the 2013 preseason and was unable to take the court for the Lady Buffs. She excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters.

2012 (Freshman): 
Mayer redshirted for the Lady Buffs during her true freshman season. She was named a member of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for her efforts in the classroom.

At Poudre High School: 
Mayer joined the Lady Buffs after a four year standout prep career at Poudre HS (Colorado), playing in the middle for the Impalas under the guidance of head coach Mike Dumbler. Mayer lettered for three seasons at PHS, winning the Pure Energy Award in 2011. She also excelled in the classroom, being named a two-time Academic All-State selection.
