LAWTON, Oklahoma – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M fell to 1-7 on the road and 3-9 in the Lone Star Conference on Tuesday night as they dropped a five set thriller to the Cameron Aggies (26-24, 18-25, 23-25, 27-25, 12-15) at Aggie Gymnasium in Lawton, Oklahoma. The Lady Buffs drop their third straight contest to move to 11-13 (3-9 LSC) while the Aggies snap a six match losing skid to improve to 14-6 (5-6 LSC) on the season.
The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Curl with 17 kills on 55 swings with seven attack errors to hit .182 on the night while Montgomery (15) and Davis (11) both tallied double-digit kills while Davis also had 10 digs for the double-double for the Lady Buffs, Jackson guided the WT offense with a match high 54 assists to go along with 17 digs for the double-double while Britten led all players with 35 digs on the night. The Lady Buffs hit .136 as a team with 63 kills on 235 swings with 31 attack errors to go along with 59 assists, five service aces, 132 digs and 11 total blocks in the match.
Cameron was led by Gillean with a match high 18 kills on 46 swings with seven attack errors to hit .239 on the night while Williams (17) and Evans (12) also registered double-digit kills for the Aggies, Luckenbill led the team with 46 assists on the night to go along with 26 digs for a double-double while Viera also tallied 26 digs for the Aggies. Cameron hit .124 as a team with 85 kills on 250 swings with 34 attack errors to go along with 58 assists, seven service aces, 117 digs and 13 total blocks in the match.
