CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas moved their win streak to four matches and moved above .500 in the process on Tuesday night as they powered past Wayland Baptist (25-17, 25-20, 25-11) in front of over 500 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box". The Lady Buffs move to 11-10 on the season while the Pioneers snap a seven match win streak to fall to 21-6.
The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Haley with 11 kills on 27 swings with just three attack errors to hit .296 on the night while Davis tallied 10 kills on 19 swings with just two errors to hit an impressive .421, Jackson guided the WT offense with a match high 29 assists to go along with 12 digs for the double-double while Britten led the team with 13 digs on the night. The Lady Buffs hit .275 as a team with 40 kills on 109 swings with 10 attack errors to go along with 37 assists, six service aces, 57 digs and seven total blocks on the night.
Wayland Baptist was led by Hawkins with a match high 13 kills on 31 swings with four attack errors to hit .290 in the match while Gasagola led the team with 14 assists on the night, Ramos led all players with 14 digs in the match with two other Pioneers registering double-digit digs. WBU hit .110 as a team with 33 kills on 118 swings with 20 attack errors to go along with 32 assists, no service aces, 52 digs and just two blocks in the match.
