CANYON, TEXAS – The West Texas A&M rolled to their sixth consecutive Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday in Canyon, winning a total of 13 events over the three-day meet at the WTAMU Track & Field Complex.

Esther Conde-Turpin started off Championship Saturday with an impressive showing in the women's javelin as the senior registered a mark of 44.21m to win her second event of the meet. The French product also finished third in the high jump with a mark of 1.68m.

The Lady Buffs added 24 points to their scoring total in the women's 1,500m as
Abigail Abugire won the event (4:26.45) followed by
Sarah Koomson in second (4:29.75) and
Kalkidan Vincendeau in third (4:32.39).

Conde-Turpin claimed her third LSC Championship of the meet in the women's 100m hurdles, running the third best mark in WT outdoor history (13.44).
Deborah Acheampong dominated the 100m dash as the junior from Ghana ran a time of 11.46 followed by
Priscilla Anaglo in fourth (11.90).

Blessing Akintoye continued her dominant season in the 400m finals as the Nigeria native broke the school record while also registering the 14
th fastest time in DII history (51.66) to claim the win followed by
Sandra Appiah in fourth (53.44).

Emiliia Tangara registered the second fastest time in Division II history in the women's 400m hurdles (55.68) to break her own school record and win the LSC Championship followed by
Asana Hamidu who claimed silver (58.80).

Acheampong won her second event of the afternoon in the women's 200m with a time of 23.17, the fifth best mark in outdoor school history, followed by Akintoye in third (23.65).

Naomi Addo continued WT's distance dominance in the women's 5,000m as the sophomore ran a 18:29.55 to win the event followed by Vincendeau in third (18:41.13) and
Julie Lafare in fourth (18:44.38).

The Lady Buffs 4x4 relay squad of Appiah, Cornell, Hamidu and Tangara closed out the meet with a 3:39.36 to finish second.
