- NCAA Regional Rankings
CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M have been included in the initial rankings for the NCAA Division II South Central Region announced on Wednesday afternoon by the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.

For the first regional release, the teams under consideration are listed in alphabetical order. In subsequent weeks, the teams will be ranked. The first seeded rankings will be released on April 29.

The top eight teams in the South Central Region will take part in the Regional Tournament taking place on May 14-16 at two regional sites. The winners of the two conference tournaments (LSC, RMAC) will receive an automatic bid into the postseason with the last six spots being filled by at-large selections.

The official announcement of the 64-team NCAA Division II Championship field will be made following the Lone Star Conference Tournament with Regional Tournament action taking place on May 14-16 with the top two seeds hosting. Each winner of its regional bracket will then meet at the higher seed for the Super Regional series on May 21-22. The 2026 NCAA Division II Women's College World Series will take place in Chattanooga, Tennessee starting on May 28.
