CANYON, Texas – The Buffaloes left Albuquerque with the program's eighth Lone Star Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday afternoon as West Texas A&M scored 183 total points with five individual event crowns.

James Dadzie claimed a victory in the men's 60m finals with a time of 6.66 followed by
Isaac Botsio in 2
nd (6.68) and
Kareem Small in 5
th (6.78).
Jerry Jakpa would claim a silver medal in the 200m with a mark of 20.93, the fourth fastest time in program history.

The Buffs placed a pair inside of the top five in the 800m with
Emil Meggle finishing 2
nd (1:53.03) followed by
Adrian Solis in 5
th(1:53.41).
Branch Cox claimed a bronze in the mile with a time of 4:17.74. Raphael Gomis made an impact in the 60m hurdles with a runner-up finish (8.22) while
Fran Bonifacic would finish 5
th (8.35).

The WT distance squad continued their dominance on Saturday as
Adrian Legarreta won the 3,000m with a mark of 8:27.89 followed by
Tommaso Toppi in 4
th (8:48.18) and
Tobias Ritter in 5
th (8:51.32). Legarreta proved himself as one of the top distance runners in the country, winning the 5K on Friday in Albuquerque.

Oyeyoni Oyewale-Johnson won the LSC Indoor Championship in the triple jump with a mark of 15.16m on his first attempt.
Mahmoud Ibrahim picked up a bronze medal in the men's shot put with a throw of 15.46m
