CANYON, Texas – The Buffaloes of West Texas A&M closed out their regular season road schedule in style on Saturday afternoon with a 77-64 Lone Star Conference victory over the Texas A&M International Dustdevils in Laredo, Texas.

WT opened the first half with strong shooting from beyond the arc, highlighted by a 3-pointer from
Brock Mishak at 18:49. The team's aggressive play extended into fast breaks, with
Fontaine Williams adding to the lead with a fastbreak 3-pointer at 17:14. The Buffs effectively capitalized on turnovers, turning defensive stops into points, which was exemplified by
Camden Cowgill's steal and fastbreak layup at 14:41.

Despite Texas A&M International's efforts to close the gap, the Buffs maintained momentum through consistent scoring in the paint and efficient free-throw shooting, with
James Parlow Jr. converting two free throws at 8:41 to extend the lead. The visiting team's defense also played a crucial role, limiting the Dustdevils' opportunities and ending the half with a 42–35 advantage.

WT began the second half with momentum, sparked by a fast-break 3-pointer from Mishak in the opening minute. Williams contributed significantly, scoring a jumper and a layup to extend the lead. A series of defensive stops, including a block by
Jailyn Sledge, reinforced the team's advantage.

Midway through the half, Parlow Jr. and Mishak combined for a layup and a 3-pointer, widening the gap further. The team capitalized on free throws, with
Zach Brown and Sledge each converting key opportunities from the line.

As the half closed, Cowgill's 3-pointer helped the Buffs keep a firm hold on the lead, despite a late surge from the Dustdevils. The half ended with West Tex. A&M winning 77–64.

Mishak led the Buffs with 24 points, including four 3-pointers, and contributed five rebounds and three assists. Williams added 16 points, converting two 3-pointers and perfect free throw shooting, while also dishing out five assists. Sledge posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, alongside two blocks. Brown contributed seven points and secured six rebounds.

The Buffs return home next weekend to close out the regular season beginning on Thursday night as the Angelo State Rams come to the First United Bank Center with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.
