Davis Scores in Third Straight Game as Buffs Tie DBU 1-1
The early stages of the game was a defensive battle as there were three combined shots through 11 minutes. Felix Casas and Octavio Estrada-Vazquez generated looks to put early pressure on DBU. Bryce Cottle was stout in goal as he picked off a number of crossing passes on corner kicks by the Patriots throughout the half along with a key save in the 31st minute. The 34th minute saw D'Jonte Davis fire a close shot, but he would be denied as the score remained 0-0. That score would hold going into halftime after a physical 45 minutes.

To start the second half, the Buffs put on early offensive pressure transition attack by Davis which would lead to a corner kick. Both those opportunities would be stopped by DBU. The Patriots would strike first in the 59th minute with a goal by James Webb as they took a 1-0 lead. That lead did not last for long as WT equalized the game in the 62nd minute. After a foul by DBU, WT had a free kick a little more than 10 yards from the box. Davis took the kick and blasted it into the top right corner as he tied the game. The rest of the game continued to be the physical defensive battle from the first 62 minutes. The Buffs did not allow a shot on goal following DBU's goal. Offensively, they created two more shots on goal and a corner, but could not find the game-winner. The match would finalize as a 1-1 tie as West Texas A&M extended their unbeaten streak to three games.
