Tom Brown has announced the addition of Katy Jordan High School standout Jaden Holt for the 2025-26 campaign.

"It has been fun getting to know Jaden Holt, he is a very articulate and confident young man. He is driven and is excited to be coming to West Texas A&M to go to school and play basketball. Jaden is exactly what we have been looking for, as we needed another ball hander that can get to the basket and create for others" said Brown "Jaden is a proven winner and makes others around him better, I believe he can really excel in our program. As good as he was at Katy Jordan High School I think he can be even better here at WT. We are excited to welcome Jaden Holt to the WT Herd."

Holt registered a standout prep career at Katy Jordan High School where he registered an overall record of 92-21. Jaden averaging 16 points per game during his senior campaign in 2024-25 as the Warriors went 33-4 and made a run to the Class 6A State Championship Game.Â

Jaden was named the District 19-6A Most Valuable Player as a senior while also being selected TABC All-State, TABC All-Region and a member of the THSCA Super Elite Team and the UIL 6A All-State Tournament Team. Holt is the all-time leader in points and assists at Jordan High School, Jaden was a member of the SPC 4A State Championship squad at Episcopal High School in 2022.

His work ethic and will to win are what separate him from many of his peers" said Jordan High School head coach Charlie Jones "He is a dynamic playmaker that brings the best out of his teammates and is a proven winner. The sky is the limit for him, and I am so blessed to have been a part of his journey."

Last season, WT made the NCAA National Tournament for a ninth-consecutive season where three freshmen made the LSC All-Freshman team. The Buffs also posted a 3.48 GPA in the classroom. WT will open the 2025-26 season at the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic, Oct. 31st at 7 p.m. in St. Joseph, Mo. against Missouri Western State and conclude the tournament on Nov. 1st at 5 p.m. against Pittsburg State.
