Lady Buff Basketball Releases Their 2025-26 Schedule

CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M Basketball head coach Josh Prock has announced the 2025-26 schedule for the Lady Buffs that features 14 contests inside of the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
 
The 29-game regular season schedule features 10 contest against teams that qualified for last season's NCAA Division II Tournament (Grand Valley State, Colorado Mesa, Ferris State, Adams State, Eastern New Mexico, Lubbock Christian, UCCS, UT Tyler, Texas Woman's).
 
November
The Lady Buffs open the regular season in St. Joseph, Missouri as they take part in the D2CCA Tipoff Classic, the opening game features a showdown with defending National Champion Grand Valley State (Nov. 1) followed by a contest with Northwest Missouri State (Nov. 2). WT returns to Canyon to take on Colorado Mesa (Nov. 14) and MSU Denver (Nov. 16) in regional matchups followed by a trip to UC Colorado Springs (Nov. 20) before hosting the WT Thanksgiving Classic with games against Adams State (Nov. 28) and New Mexico Highlands (Nov. 29) as LSC member UT Permian Basin also takes part in the holiday event.
 
December
Lone Star Conference begins in December as the Lady Buffs host Oklahoma Christian (Dec. 4) and Cameron (Dec. 6) before making a trip to the newest member of the LSC, UT Dallas on December 13th. The Lady Buffs travel to Honolulu to close out 2025 as they take part in the Hoops in Hawaii Classic with matchups against Ferris State (Dec. 18) and host Hawaii Pacific (Dec. 19).
 
January
West Texas A&M opens 2026 on the road as they make road trips to Silver City, New Mexico (Jan. 2) and Alpine, Texas (Jan. 4) before hosting St. Edward's (Jan. 8) and St. Mary's (Jan. 10) at the First United Bank Center. The Lady Buffs begin a three-game LSC road trip at Lubbock Christian (Jan. 15) followed by trips to Midwestern State (Jan 17) and Eastern New Mexico (Jan. 22) before closing the month in Canyon against UT Tyler (Jan. 29) and Texas Woman's (Jan. 31).
 
February
The Lady Buffs open the month of February with road contests at Cameron (Feb. 5) and Oklahoma Christian (Feb. 7) before hosting Eastern New Mexico (Feb. 10) and UT Dallas (Feb. 12) at the First United Bank Center. WT travels to South Texas to take on Texas A&M-Kingsville (Feb. 19) and Texas A&M International (Feb. 21) before ending the regular season at home against Angelo State (Feb. 26) and UT Permian Basin (Feb. 28).
 
March
The Lone Star Conference Championships returns to the Comerica Center in Frisco on March 5-8 followed by the South Central Regional Championships on March 13-16. The South Central Regional Champion will punch their ticket to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight on March 23rd followed by the National Semifinals on March 25th with the NCAA DII National Title Game taking place at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 27th.
