CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M women's soccer head coach
Turk Ozturk announced the program's 2025 schedule for his inaugural season in Canyon. The 18-game schedule features four non-conference matchups and 14 Lone Star Conference games. The Lady Buffs are slated to face nine opponents at The Pitch.
WT opens the regular season on Sept. 4 in Las Vegas, N.M. against New Mexico Highlands before returning to Canyon for its home opener against Adams State on Sept. 6. The Lady Buffs travel to Colorado on Sept. 10 against Western Colorado before ending non-conference play at home on Sept. 13 against Wayland Baptist.
Lone Star Conference action begins for the Lady Buffs on Sept. 17 at Texas Woman's. Home games against conference opponents come against St. Edward's (Sept. 20), Sul Ross State (Sept. 27), St. Mary's (Oct. 2), UT Tyler (Oct. 11), UT Permian Basin (Oct. 15), UT Dallas (Oct. 25), and Lubbock Christian (Oct. 29). WT will face six other LSC opponents on the road including Angelo State (Oct. 4), Midwestern State (Oct. 8), Eastern New Mexico (Oct. 18), Texas A&M International (Oct. 22), Dallas Baptist (Nov. 1), and Oklahoma Christian (Nov. 7).
The Lone Star Conference Tournament starts Nov. 7 with the quarterfinals on campus sites before transitioning to the highest seed remaining for the semifinals (Nov. 13) and championship (Nov. 16). The NCAA Tournament begins with the first and second rounds Nov. 20-23 before the third round and national quarterfinals on Dec. 5-8. The National Semifinals and Championship will be held at the Switchbacks FC Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Dec. 11-13.
