CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M women's soccer opened their home schedule on Saturday morning with a back-and-forth battle with the Adams State Grizzlies that ended in a scoreless draw at The Pitch inside of the Buffalo Sports Park.

The two teams traded possession for most of the match as the Lady Buffs held the ball for 52% of the 90 minute shutout. WT tallied 12 shots with seven of them coming in the second half.Â

Franciezca Blancaflor was impressive in goal again for the Lady Buffs as the Salado, Texas native registered her second consecutive shutout, tallying five save on eight Adams State shots as four of them came on goal.

The Lady Buffs return to the pitch on Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Gunnison, Colorado to take on the Mountaineers of Western Colorado in a regional showdown set for 4:00 p.m. CT at Katy O'Rady Field.
