Women's Soccer Adds Four New Faces to 2025 Roster

CANYON, Texas – On Tuesday afternoon, West Texas A&M women's soccer head coach Turk Ozturk announced the addition of four more student-athletes for the 2025 season. The 2025 roster continues to take shape with the addition of four new players — three transfers and one incoming freshman — who bring depth, experience, and talent across the pitch.

Leading the group is Jade Martinez, a dynamic center midfielder transferring from Baylor University, a member of the Big 12 Power Four Conference. A product of the elite DKSC club program, Martinez brings high-level collegiate and club experience that will immediately bolster the midfield.

Joining her is Alicia Cohen, a pacey and versatile forward/winger transferring from NCAA Division I program Alabama A&M. Cohen developed her game with Orlando City's club system and is expected to bring attacking flair and creativity to the front line.

The final transfer is Franciezca Blancaflor, a skilled goalkeeper coming from the University of Houston-Victoria, where she completed two seasons at the NAIA level. A former LoneStar SC standout, Blancaflor adds depth and experience to the goalkeeping unit.

Rounding out the class is Aaliyah McPeak, a true freshman from LoneStar SC. McPeak is a promising young talent who will begin her collegiate journey at WT, bringing energy and potential to the squad.

With this diverse group of additions, the program continues to build a competitive and well-rounded roster for the 2025 season. The final numbers are 13 newcomers and 13 returners to the team.
