WT Sits Seventh in the DII Learfield Director’s Cup Standings

- Division II Learfield Director's Cup Standings (Fall & Winter)

CANYON, Texas –
 Continued success on the field and in the classroom has kept West Texas A&M seventh in the Division II Learfield Directors' Cup heading into the spring championship season announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Thursday morning.
 
WT sits seventh in the overall standings with 441.25 points behind Grand Valley State (817.25), Wingate (542.00), Colorado School of Mines (511.50), Minnesota State (481.25), Lewis (445.00) and Nova Southeastern (444.00).
 
The Buffs and Lady Buffs are the highest ranked Lone Star Conference member by 31 spots and 198.75 points over Angelo State (38th, 242.50). The LSC was represented by WT (7th), Angelo State (38th), DBU (T65th), Midwestern State (71st), Lubbock Christian (78th), UT Tyler (106th), Texas Woman's (123rd), Eastern New Mexico (129th), Texas A&M-Kingsville (140th), Oklahoma Christian (168th), St. Mary's (T179th), St. Edward's (T198th). 
 
In the fall Lady Buff Cross Country picked up 90 points as they finished as the NCAA Division II National Runner-Up while the Buffs claimed 80 points for their fourth-place finish in Sacramento. Lady Buff Volleyball's run to the South Central Regional Semifinals added 50 points for the Maroon & White.
 
The winter scoring season saw Lady Buff Basketball claim 50 points on their run to the Regional Semifinals while Buffalo Basketball's appearance in the Regional Quarterfinals is worth 25 points. Indoor Track & Field claimed 146.25 total points with sixth-place finishes in Indianapolis (72.75 Women / 73.5 Men).
 
Final results will be announced in June following the conclusion of the spring championship season.
