CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M Track & Field opened their indoor schedule this weekend with an impressive performance at the Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Esther Conde-Turpin put together an incredible performance during her first meet as a Lady Buff. The Reunion Island, France product set a school record during Friday's 60m hurdles prelims with a time of 8.27 before breaking her own school record and setting a personal-best in the finals with an 8.26. The senior also claimed a win in the 60m finals (7.66) along with a fifth-place finish in the high jump (1.62m).

Leidy Cuesta picked up a victory in the women's triple jump with a personal best mark of 12.40m.
Kedan Burch started off her collegiate career with a toss of 12.28m in the shot put to place fifth followed by a seventh-place finish in the weight throw (14.85m).

Mara Andritsch scored 3,436 points to finish third in the pentathlon followed by
Kailee Benton in fifth (3,368).

Nikolas Kosmopoulos registered a second-place finish in the heptathlon with 5,174 points to sit ninth on the WT indoor Top-10 list. Kareem Small had an impressive opening meet for the Buffs, winning the 60m dash with a time of 6.75.

Manuel Cuesta picked up a third-place finish in the men's triple jump with a mark of 14.83m while
Brocc Brodecky placed fifth in the weight throw (13.89m) and sixth in the shot put (14.19m).

The Buffs and Lady Buffs take a few weeks off for the holiday break before returning to the track on January 16-17 as they take part in the Corky Classic at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock.
