CANYON. Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M struggled on the offensive end of the court on Sunday afternoon as they dropped a 70-56 decision to the #20 Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
 
Kyla Kane paced the West Texas A&M offense as the junior went 6-of-11 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the line for a team-high 18 points followed by 
Hollie Stalder with 14 points. 
Taylor Haggan grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds to go along with six points while Kane dished out four assists to go along with a block.
 
The Lady Buffs finished the afternoon going 19-of-60 (31.7%) from the field including 6-of-14 (42.9%) from behind the arc and 12-of-14 (85.7%) from the free throw line with 35 rebounds (14 offensive, 21 defensive), 10 assists, eight turnovers, two blocks and five steals.
 
Audrey Robertson led the way for the Lady Chaps as the Kerrville product went 7-of-11 from the floor including 5-of-7 from deep for a game-high 19 points followed by Maci Maddox who had 18 points and 10 assists for a double-double. LCU went 30-of-58 (51.7%) from the field including 10-of-23 (43.5%) from deep and 0-of-1 from the stripe with 36 rebounds, 21 assists, 12 turnovers, seven blocks and four steals.
 
The Lady Buffs hit the road for Lone Star Conference action on Thursday night as they make their way to San Angelo, Texas to take on the Angelo State Rambelles with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. at Stephens Arena inside of the Junell Center.
