CANYON. Texas – West Texas A&M trailed by as many as 11 points early in the fourth quarter before a spirited comeback capped off by a 
Randi Harding layup with two second remaining gave the Lady Buffs a thrilling 69-67 Lone Star Conference victory over the Midwestern State Mustangs at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
 
Kyle Kane and 
Claire Graham led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs as the pair of guards scored 17 points each followed by Harding with 16 and 
Hollie Stalder with 11. Graham grabbed a team-best eight rebounds followed by Kane with seven while Harding dished out five assists with six boards and a block.
 
The Lady Buffs finished the night going 26-of-56 (46.4%) from the floor including 9-of-25 (36%) from deep and 8-of-13 (61.5%) from the free throw line with 38 rebounds (seven offensive, 31 defensive), 13 assists, 22 turnovers, four blocks and seven steals in the win.
 
Zarria Carter continued to impress for the Mustangs as she scored a game-high 19 points to go along with 10 rebounds for a double-double. Midwestern State went 21-of-63 (33.3%) from the field including 10-of-24 (41.7%) from deep and 15-of-18 (83.3%) from the stripe with 37 rebounds, 11 assists, 17 turnovers, three blocks and 12 steals.
 
The Lady Buffs close out the weekend against the rival #20 Lady Chaps of Lubbock Christian on Sunday afternoon with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. in Canyon.
