CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M started out their road trip on the wrong end of a 87-55 Lone Star Conference decision to the defending South Central Regional Champion #2 Pioneers of Texas Woman's on Thursday night at Kitty Magee Arena.
 
Claire Graham led the West Texas A&M offense as the Tuscola, Texas native went 5-of-14 from the floor including 2-of-6 from deep for a team-best 12 points to go along with four boards and two assists. 
Taylor Haggan contributed nine points and four rebounds followed by 
Chloe Callahan with eight points.
 
The Lady Buffs finished the game going 22-of-59 (37.3%) from the floor including 6-of-22 (27.3%) from behind the arc and 5-of-6 (83.3%) from the line with 26 rebounds (four offensive, 22 defensive), 13 assists, 12 turnovers, three blocks and four steals.
 
Scout Huffman led the way for the Pioneers going a perfect 8-of-8 from the floor including 2-of-2 from behind the arc for a game-high 18 points to go along with five boards and three assists. TWU finished the game going 34-of-67 (50.7%) from the field including 7-of-13 (53.8%) from deep and 12-of-13 (92.3%) from the line with 44 rebounds, 25 assists, 10 turnovers four blocks and seven steals.
 
The Lady Buffs look to rebound on Saturday afternoon as they head to East Texas to take on the #9 Patriots of UT Tyler with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. at the Herrington Patriot Center.
