CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M volleyball head coach Brittany Harry has announced the addition of Baleigh Allen to the Lady Buff coaching staff for the upcoming 2024 campaign. She comes to Canyon from Second Baptist High School in Houston where she served as a varsity assistant for the Eagles, Allen also spent time coaching with the Houston Volleyball Academy and Angelo Elite.
"I am excited to add Baleigh to our Lady Buff volleyball family. She is a proven winner as a player in the Lone Star Conference and she knows what it takes to be the best, having been named an All-American in her playing career" said Harry "She is a highly competitive person and her experience in the LSC will be a highly valuable asset in our program along with her ability to train the middles."
Allen is no stranger to the Lone Star Conference as she was a four-year standout at Angelo State from 2017-21, during her time in San Angelo the Belles registered an overall record of 112-30 with four trips to the NCAA Division II Tournament. Allen was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Year in 2021 as she earned Third Team All-American honors from the AVCA.

The Katy, Texas product saw time in 375 sets during 109 matches at ASU, registering 677 career kills for an average of 1.81 per set to go along with 27 assists, 23 aces, 213 digs and 394 blocks. Allen registered a standout prep career at Katy Taylor High School. Baleigh earned a Bachelor's in Marketing and Management from Angelo State in 2022 and she is currently pursuing a Master's in Education.
WT opens the 2024 campaign on September 5-7 as they host the BritKare Lady Buff Classic with matchups against Ferris State, Texas A&M International, Central Missouri and West Virginia State at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.
