CANYON, Texas – Former West Texas A&M All-American guard
Larry Wise has signed a professional contract to play for Södertälje BBK in the Swedish Basketball League.

The Waxahachie, Texas product played three seasons for the Buffs while helping WT to an 85-17 overall record including the program's fifth regional title and an appearance in the 2024 NCAA Final Four. Wise, a 2024 Bevo Francis Award Finalist, finished off his stellar career with numerous accolades including NABC All-American, Second Team D2CCA All-American, Lone Star Conference Player of the Year, South Central Region Player of the Year, and South Central Regional Tournament MVP honors. The standout guard set his career-high of 39 points against Lubbock Christian on Feb. 29, 2024, becoming just the seventh player in program history to score 39 or more points in a game.

Wise made 102 career appearances with 98 starts, totaling 1,708 points. He brought down 492 rebounds for WT with 138 coming on offense to go along with 72 steals, 37 blocks, and 241 assists. Wise reached double-figure scoring 85 times during his career including 35 20+ point games and four 30+ point games. Wise ended his career in Maroon & White with top 10 standings in career points, three-point field goals, and free throws.
Södertälje BBK begins its season October 4.
