CAMEROON, AFRICA – Sophomore
Isaac Botsio placed first with Team Ghana in the 4x100 relay at the African Athletics Championships held in Stade Omnisport de Japoma, Douala, Cameroon.
Botsio was the second leg of the 4x100 relay where his Team Ghana ran 38.63 seconds to overtake Nigeria (28.84) and Cote d'Ivoire (39.77). Ghana ended up placing ninth overall in the competition with three medals, two gold and one silver.
This is the second international competition for Botsio after he competed at the 2024 Bahamas World Relay Championship with Team Ghana in the 4x100. At that competition Team Ghana secured their Olympic position with a time of 38.29 seconds. Botsio will represent Team Ghana in the 4x100 relay alongside teammate and Buff alum,

Elorm Amenakpor will lead Team Ghana at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
