CANYON. Texas – The Lady Buffs closed out their Lone Star Conference weekend schedule with a dominant defensive performance on Saturday afternoon as they raced past the Lady Eagles of Oklahoma Christian, 86-66 at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
 
Randi Harding led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs as the junior from Mustang, Oklahoma went 8-of-12 from the floor including 2-of-5 from behind the arc for a game-high 20 points to go along with four boards, four assists and two steals. Kyle Kane finished with 16 points followed by 
Taylor Haggan with another double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds).
 
The Lady Buffs finished the afternoon going 32-of-62 (51.6%) from the field including 7-of-19 (36.8%) from deep and 15-of-20 (75%) from the free throw line with 40 rebounds (seven offensive, 33 defensive), 18 assists, 13 turnovers, two blocks and six steals.
 
Ciara Harris and Taylor Jackson both scored 14 points to lead the Lady Eagles as Jackson had six rebounds while Harris went a perfect 10-of-10 at the charity stripe. Oklahoma Christian went 16-of-54 (29.6%) from the field including 3-of-20 (15%) from deep and 31-of-33 (93.9%) from the line with 30 rebounds, nine assists, 13 turnovers, one block and six steals in the loss.
 
The Lady Buffs hit the road next weekend for Lone Star Conference action as they head to South Texas to battle Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sunday afternoon with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. at the Steinke Center.
