CANYON. Texas – Eight members of the West Texas A&M football team were honored for their efforts on the gridiron on Thursday morning as the Lone Star Conference announced their annual postseason awards from their offices in Richardson, Texas.

Senior wide receiver
Zorian Stanton was named the league's Newcomer of the Year as the senior from Jacksonville, Florida caught 38 passes for 680 yards and six touchdowns for the Buffaloes. Stanton averaged 17.9 yards per catch and 61.8 yards per game as he ranked third in the Lone Star Conference in receiving yards and fourth in touchdowns.
