West Texas A&M Athletics Joins Forces with Influxer

CANYON. Texas – West Texas A&M Athletics announced a partnership with Influxer on Wednesday, providing WT student-athletes an opportunity to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL) by allowing fans to purchase personalized high-quality personalized merchandise.

Influxer has partnered with more than 300 colleges and universities throughout the country to create an opportunity for student-athletes to benefit from their personal brand with high-quality, customized gear. This is WT Athletics first partnership to allow student-athletes an opportunity to earn royalties from the sale of co-branded apparel featuring their name and number, combined with the official WT logo.

"Partnering with Influxer is a great way to give our student-athletes the opportunity to grow their brand. We look forward to many more collaboration initiatives in the NIL space as this is a priority growth opportunity for WT Athletics" said Vice President of Athletics Doug Lipinski.

Each student-athlete will be able to create their own webpage linked to WT's online store. Influxer works with student-athletes to personalize co-licensed products and oversees fulfillment of orders as well as payment processing. An easy-to-use mobile app allows student-athletes to apply to marketing campaigns, post deliverables, and conveniently receive payment after completing deals.

Influxer provides training and handles tax documents to assist student-athletes in their NIL journey. Sales through Influxer benefit both the individual student-athlete and the Athletics Department through a mutual licensing agreement. Deals through Influxer are non-exclusive, allowing student-athletes to pursue other NIL opportunities as well.

"Influxer is excited about this partnership with the Buffs to bring a great NIL opportunity that benefits everyone. Doug Lipinski and the administration have been extremely diligent in not only emphasizing the end product of the opportunity but also recognizing the business experience the process brings to student-athlete development" said Keith Miller, Vice President of Influxer.
