CANYON, Texas – The #25 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M dropped a pair of Lone Star Conference contests on Saturday afternoon to the UT Tyler Patriots at Irwin Field in Tyler, Texas.

The Buffs and Patriots continue their series tomorrow afternoon with first pitch set for 1:00 p.m. at Irwin Field.

GAME ONE
WT got on the board in the top of the fourth inning as Mike Manetta started off the frame with a single up the middle followed by a Ryan Johnson RBI double to the gap in right center for the early 1-0 lead, the Buffs weren't done yet as they used a pair of ground balls to plate Johnson as a Will Fuenning dribbler to first base made it 2-0.

UT Tyler looked to cut into the lead in the home half of the fifth as a leadoff walk and a WT error put Patriots on first and second with no outs, UTT layed down a sac bunt to move both runners into scoring position followed by a Kaston Mason RBI groundout to second and a single to center by Lane Hutchinson to make it 2-2.

The Patriots took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the sixth as Edward Ortiz singled thru the right side with two outs to plate Carson Cox for the 3-2 lead.
