At Cameron:
Cornett comes to WT from Lone Star Conference member Cameron where he saw time in 26 games with 14 starts on the mound for the Aggies, registering 108 strikeouts in 89.1 innings of work. He graduated from Cameron in 2022 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration with a focus on Finance. 

At Hill College:
Spent his true freshman campaign at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas where he saw time in three contests on the mound, striking out six during his 2.1 innings of work.

At Shallowater High School:
Second Team All-District selection as a senior for the Class 3A State Semifinalist Shallowater Mustangs under head coach Steven Biara. 

Personal:
Born March 16, 1998. Son of Jennifer Cornett and he has one brother, Jasper. Majoring in Computer Information at West Texas A&M.
