THE BASICS
Game 25 Score: Oklahoma Christian 6, West Texas A&M 2
Pitching: (W) Jill Dickson (12-1); (L) Emilee Boyer (8-2)

The Eagles set the tone early in game one with four runs to open the series. Oklahoma Christian's first two batters laced back-to-back singles, setting up runners on first and third base. A third-consecutive single plated the Eagles' first run of the game and allowed the next hitter to reach on a walk. On OC's fourth single of the inning, the Eagles added another to their run total before a strikeout gave the Lady Buffs an out on the board. Two more Oklahoma Christian singles scored two runs before WT escaped the inning.

Coming to the plate with a four-run lead, the Eagles tacked on two more runs on a long ball with two outs. The Lady Buffs cut into the lead in the bottom half of the second when Julie Guzman started the inning off with a walk and stolen base. With two outs, Brittni Rufus dropped an RBI triple over the left fielder's head to score WT's first run of the afternoon.

The Lady Buffs added another run in the bottom of the sixth inning when Diana Murtha sent a solo shot onto the batting cages in left field. The home run closed the scoring in the sixth and the game.

THE BASICS
Game 26 Score: West Texas A&M 7, Oklahoma Christian 1
Pitching: (W) Kyra Lair (7-1); (L) Payton Foster (5-2)

Oklahoma Christian started the second game with a run in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead. The scoring started with a double down the line followed by a fielder's choice and a hit by pitch. With two outs, Kylie Janzen drew a bases-loaded walk to score the Eagles' first run. That run proved to be the only scoring for the visitors as WT rattled off seven unanswered runs.

It wasn't until the third inning when the Lady Buffs scored and took the lead. A leadoff double by Rufus followed by a Gabie McConnell single and stolen base set up Ruby Salzman's sacrifice fly to center field. WT then took the lead when Murtha ripped a single back up the middle to score McConnell.

In the fifth, Salzman tripled to center field with one out. Emilee Boyer wasted no time bringing in Salzman as the freshman lined a ball to third base where the fielder deflected the ball away and allowed Salzman to come home.

WT did its most damage in the sixth inning when Megan Guericke reached first after being hit by the pitch. Rufus continued her stellar day with an inside-the-park home run, her second of the season. After an Eagles pitching change, McConnell drew a two-out walk before Salzman cranked her 58th career home run.
