CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M's
Hamdi Ali continued to impress on Friday afternoon as the sophomore broke his own school record in the High Jump during the New Mexico Collegiate Classic at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

The Doha, Qatar native and reigning LSC Field Athlete of the Week finished second on his way to a new school record as he holds the top mark in all of Division II so far this season. 2.21m (7-3) ties the 14
th best jump in Division II indoor history.Â
Butare Rugenerwa impressed in the men's 800m with a pre-converted time of 1:49.58, finishing seventh in the event while running the second fastest time in the event in program history.Â

On the women's side,
Corrssia Perry picked up a fourth-place finish in the unseeded 400m with a time of 57.16 to go along with an 18
th place finish in the unseeded 200m (24.40).
Laiten Greeson set a new personal best in the pentathlon with a total of 3,482 points to finish 13
th overall followed by
Elliot Harrison in 15
th (3,422).
Taylor Nelloms tied for sixth in the women's High Jump with a mark of 1.796m (5-9.25) which is the second best mark so far this season in Division II.Â
