CANYON, TX-Â The No. 5 nationally ranked Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M (13-2, 3-1 LSC) will travel to the Angelo State Rambelles (14-2, 4-0 LSC) and the UT Permian Basin Falcons (10-4, 1-2 LSC) this weekend. This will be week three of the Lone Star Conference play. WT will face ASU on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and UTPB on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

A paid-for live stream and free stats will be provided by the Athletic Communications departments of the Rambelles and Falcons. All LSC matches will be aired on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network.Â

The #5 Lady Buffs are the only LSC program represented in the national standings and have been in the top five in the nation for the past five weeks. Angelo State and Dallas Baptist are receiving votes while three RMAC teams are ranked with MSU Denver (7th), Colorado Mesa (10th) and Regis (12th). Â

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
ANGELO STATE (Oct. 6 | 6 PM)Â
The ASU Rambelles (14-2, 4-0 LSC) are led by 16th year head coach Chuck Waddington. Last weekend the Rambelles swept Midwestern State, making it their ninth sweep of the season.Â

ASU is leading in three statistical categories with assists (812), kills (846) and hitting percentage (.261). They are the only team in the LSC beating WT in hitting percentage with the Lady Buffs holding their opponents to an average of less than .200.Â

The Rambelles outside hitter, Hannah Kinnison earned the LSC Offensive Player of the Week, making it her first LSC accolade this past week. Kinnison averaged 4.71 kills/set and hit .391 with wins over TWU and MSU. The senior is the only player that ranks in the top five in the LSC this season in kills (219) and hitting percentage (.372).

UT PERMIAN BASIN (Oct. 7 | 2 PM)Â Â
The UTPB Falcons (10-4, 1-2 LSC) are led by ninth year head coach Tim Loesch. The Falcons split last weekend with one sweep against Midwestern State and fell to Texas Woman's on the road. This upcoming match will be their seventh home match of the season against the Lady Buffs.Â

The Falcons are led by senior outside hitter, Gloria Geurin, with 118 kills on the season. Geurin is averaging 2.81 kills/set andÂ
defensivley adding 0.64 blocks/set.Â

UTPB is leading in aces against the Lady Buffs with an average of 1.75 a set.Â

LAST TIME OUT
The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs went 2-0 last weekend when they swept both St. Edward's and St. Mary's in The Box. The combined crowd of 1,558 fans got to see the Lady Buffs dominate in multiple sets where the opponents only scored 12 and 17 points in a set a piece, respectively.Â

WT HEAD COACH KENDRA POTTS
Kendra Potts begins her fifth season at the helm of Lady Buff Volleyball with an overall 104-22 (.825) record and 56-11 (.835) in league play.  Potts led her alma mater to the program's 4th NCAA National Championship after capturing the South Central Regional title to become the sixth head coach in program history to guide WT to the Elite Eight. Coach Potts was named the AVCA Division II National Head Coach of the Year following her 33-4 record and 26 game winning streak for the 2022 season.
