CANYON, Texas – The #13 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M couldn't find a rhythm offensively on Thursday night as they shot just 21.9% from the floor in a 60-53 Lone Star Conference divisional loss to the Angelo State Rambelles at the Junell Center in San Angelo, Texas.

Nyalam Thabach led the way for the Lady Buffs as the Boise, Idaho product went 6-of-15 from the floor including 3-of-5 from deep and 3-of-5 from the free throw line for a team-high 18 points to go along with 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals for her second double-double of the season.
Azia Himeur and
Kyla Kane finished the eight points each while
Karley Motschenbacher grabbed 10 boards to go along with four points and five steals.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 14-of-64 (21.9%) from the floor including 8-of-27 (29.6%) from behind the arc and 17-of-22 (77.3%) from the free throw line with 48 rebounds (18 offensive, 30 defensive), nine assists, 19 turnovers, no blocks and nine steals.

Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant paced the ASU offense as the junior from Amarillo went 10-of-16 from the floor including 1-of-1 from deep and 1-of-2 from the stripe for a game-high 22 points to go along with 12 rebounds, four blocks and four steals. The Belles went 25-of-58 (43.1%) from the field including 2-of-8 (25%) from deep and 8-of-13 (61.5%) from the free throw line to go along with 42 rebounds (seven offensive, 35 defensive), 13 assists, 17 turnovers, five blocks and 12 steals.

The Lady Buffs close out their road trip on Saturday afternoon as they head to Odessa, Texas to take on the UT Permian Basin Falcons in LSC action with tipoff set for 1 p.m. at the Falcon Dome.
