Lady Buffs Move to 12th in AVCA Top 25 Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following their season opener, the West Texas A&M Lady Buffs (3-1, 0-0 LSC) jumped two spots in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Top 25 Poll, ranking 12th overall.
 
The Lady Buffs opened the season 3-1 with victories against Adams State, UCCS, and St. Mary's with the lone loss to nationally-ranked Northwest Missouri State at the annual BritKare Lady Buff Classic. WT is one of two programs from the Lone Star Conference represented in the standings with Angelo State ranking 16th
 
Tampa picked up 39-of-47 first-place votes followed by Washburn (1-fpv), Western Washington (5-fpv), MSU Denver (1-fpv), West Florida (1-fpv), Concordia-St. Paul, Cal State San Bernardino, Nebraska-Kearney, and Northwest Missouri State to round out the Top 10. 


WT returns to action this weekend as the Lady Buffs head to Denver to compete in the 2022 Colorado Premier.  They will take on No. 11 Central Missouri (2-1) and Regis (3-1) with game times set at noon and 3:30 p.m. CT on Friday.  Saturday's matches will be announced at the conclusion of Friday's action.
