CANYON, Texas – Twelve members of the West Texas A&M Buffaloes were honored for their efforts on the gridiron on Thursday morning as the Lone Star Conference announced their annual postseason football awards from the league's offices in Richardson, Texas.
Noah Bogardus was named to the All-LSC First Team while
Adam Alcorta,
Shakell Brown and
Christopher Thomas earned Second Team accolades. Eight Buffs found themselves on the Honorable Mention list:
Zane Madison,
Nick Gerber,
Gage Urias,
Antonio Iwuagwu,
Cole Oster,
Ty Dillon,
Preston Steszewski and
Ahlee Yart.
Three Buffs were honored for their efforts in the classroom as Bogardus, Gerber and Steszewski were named to the LSC All-Academic Team headlined by Academic Player of the Year Hunter St. John from Eastern New Mexico.

Defensive Lineman of the Year: Weston Bauer, Angelo State
Linebacker of the Year: Jaylin Parnell, Western Oregon
Defensive Back of the Year: Andrew Pitts, Angelo State
Defensive Freshman of the Year: Victor Idusuyi, UT Permian Basin
Newcomer of the Year: Asa Wondeh, Eastern New Mexico
Coach of the Year: Jeff Girsch, Angelo State
