CANYON, Texas – The #6 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M used a fourth quarter run to outlast the Colorado Mesa Mavericks in a rematch of last year's South Central Regional Quarterfinals on Friday night as they picked up a 76-63 victory at the King Center in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Karley Motschenbacher led the way for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore guard from Moorhead, Minnesota went just 2-of-10 from the floor but finished 8-of-11 from the free throw line for a team-high 13 points to go along with nine rebounds and a steal.
Braylyn Dollar went 3-of-5 from the field and 4-of-6 from the stripe to finish with 11 points and five rebounds while dishing out three assists to go along with a pair of steals.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 25-of-61 (41%) from the floor including 6-of-20 (30%) from behind the arc and 20-of-25 (80%) from the free throw line to go along with 36 rebounds (12 offensive, 24 defensive), 10 assists, 11 turnovers, one block and four steals.

Monica Brooks led all players with a game-high 18 points as the senior from Shawnee, Oklahoma finished the game going 7-of-12 from the floor including 2-of-2 from deep to go along with two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. CMU went 24-of-55 (43.6%) from the field including 6-of-17 (35.3%) from deep and 9-of-17 (52.9%) from the stripe with 24 rebounds (three offensive, 21 defensive), 13 assists 12 turnovers, two blocks and five steals.

The Lady Buffs close out their road trip on Saturday night as they take on the Hardrockers of South Dakota Mines with tipoff set for 8 p.m. CT at the King Center.
