RICHARDSON, Texas – West Texas A&M's Blair Moreland was named the Lone Star Conference Setter of the Week after the league's announcement on Tuesday afternoon. She becomes the second Lady Buff to earn the honor this season, joining teammate Ainsley Malis. 
 
Moreland, the Preseason Setter of the Year, earns the weekly recognition for the first time in her career after she helped pace the Lady Buffs to their 11^th consecutive win after sweeping past Oklahoma Christian. The Katy, Texas native totaled 69 assists on the week including a career-high performance against UAFS on Friday night where the sophomore was credited 34 assists. 
 
She averaged 6.90 assists per set to go along with 16 digs, six service aces, and a kill.  She ranks 10th in the Lone Star Conference with 5.51 assists per set and is 19 assists from reaching 1,000 career assists. 
 
Moreland and the Lady Buffs (18-4, 10-0 LSC) will take on Lubbock Christian (9-14, 5-7 LSC) tomorrow, Oct. 19, at the Rip Griffin Center at 6 p.m. in Lubbock.
