INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 12 West Texas A&M will make their 10th overall appearance in the NCAA Division II Softball postseason on May 19-22 as they head to Commerce as the No. 2 seed in the South Central Region.
The Lady Buffs earned the LSC's automatic bid into the NCAA tournament after winning the conference tournament on Saturday over No. 20 Angelo State, 10-0 in five innings. It was the fifth time in program history that WT won the league's postseason tournament and first since 2017.
WT will open tournament play on Thursday, May 20, at 3 p.m. against the winner of No. 3 Angelo State and No. 6 Texas A&M-Kingsville. On the other side of the bracket, top seeded Oklahoma Christian faces the winner of Thursday's game against No. 4 Colorado Mesa and No. 5 Texas A&M-Commerce.
