CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M head baseball coach
Matt Vanderburg has announced the addition of Tegernheim, Germany product Paul Wittmann for the 2022 campaign. He joins Travis Shaff-Brown, Glenn Noronha, Jaiden Chinnis, Maddux Hoaglund, Nick Marshall, Tyler Dubuque, Reese Chapman, JJ Luna and Carson Shepherd in WT's signing class.

Wittmann is a talented prep product from Werner von Siemens Gymnasium in Tegernheim, Germany where he was named the Most Valuable Player of the U18 Bavarian Championship in 2020. The 6'0 left-handed hitting outfielder also led his school to the U18 German Championship as well as the U15 European Championship and the U15 German Title. He is the son of Norbert Wittman and Karin Knorr and he is undecided on a major at West Texas A&M.
The Buffs return to action this weekend as they host the St. Mary's Rattlers in a three-game Lone Star Conference series beginning on Friday night with first pitch set for 7 p.m. in Canyon.
