Payne McKiver recorded the game-winning goal on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Buffs jumped out to an early lead as McKiver finished a pass from
Giancarlo Saldana to give WT the go-ahead lead 7
th minute after Saldana's shot was saved by the Patriots' keeper Mathias Eriksen. UT Tyler's best look of the game came from Luis Mahecha in the 16
th minute but was denied by
Alexander Vencel to preserve the Buff's lead. WT almost doubled their lead in the 43
rd minute with a shot by
Marshall Ball but was saved by Eriksen.
WT's defense continued to hold until the very end as UTT saw seven shots in the second half but couldn't finish around the net to secure the Buffs 1-0 victory.
Alexander Vencel had one save in his 18
th career shutout. Six Buffs recorded shots with five on frame. Six Buffs registered shots against the Patriots with five landing on frame while UTT had 11 shots with one on goal.
