CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M head baseball coach Matt Vanderburg has announced the addition of Indian Hills Community College left-hander Douglas Rojas for the 2023 campaign. Rojas joins Brayden Franco, Jaxen Monkerud and Kaden Monkerud in WT's signing class.
 
The Valencia, Venezuela product has gone 6-2 with two complete games over the last two seasons for the Warriors under head coach Matthew Torrez. He has registered a 6.05 ERA with 74 strikeouts during his 55.0 innings of work to average 12.11 strikeouts per nine innings. Rojas has made 17 appearances for the Warriors with 13 starts, allowing 48 runs (37 earned) on 55 hits.
 
The Buffs open their 2022 campaign on February 4-5 as the host the Bob Sloan Baseball Classic at Wilder Park with matchups against New Mexico Highlands and Colorado State-Pueblo.
