Matt Vanderburg has announced schedule changes to the inaugural Bob Sloan Baseball Classic at Wilder Park in Canyon, Texas.

The original round-robin schedule has been changed due to COVID-19 issues as Southwestern Oklahoma State has withdrawn themselves from the event. WT and Oklahoma Baptist will now battle each other in a four-game series beginning on Thursday, February 4
th.

The series opener will start at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday followed by a pair of seven-inning contests on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. before the series finale on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m..

The Bison finished the 2020 campaign with an overall record of 16-6 including a 9-3 mark in Great American Conference action to sit atop of the league standings before the cancellation of the season in early March. Chris Cox is in his second season at the helm of the OBU Baseball program following five years as OBU's top assistant. Cox assisted his father Bobby Cox and the Bison to a pair of NCCAA National Championships (2017, 2018) along with two NCAA Tournament appearances and the 2019 GAC Tournament Title.
