SAN ANGELO, Texas – The #16 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M clinched the program's 19
th Lone Star Conference Regular Season/Divisional Title on Saturday afternoon with a 56-49 victory over the rival Belles of Angelo State in front of over 650 fans at Stephens Arena inside of the Junell Center in San Angelo, Texas.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Buffs were led by 
Abby Spurgin who went 8-of-15 from the floor including a perfect 3-of-3 at the free throw line to score 19 points while grabbing 10 rebounds for her third career double-double, 
Braylyn Dollar chipped in 12 points to go along with nine boards to finish just shy of her own double-double followed by 
Sienna Lenz with 10 points.
- Angelo State was led offensively by Asia Davis who went 3-of-12 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free throw line for a team-high 14 points followed by Catara Samuel with 11 and Kinley Brown with 10, Samuel and Lana Marov both grabbed eight rebounds each while Samuel led the way defensively with three steals.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 9-of-27 (33.3%) from the floor including 1-of-9 (11.1%) from deep and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line to go along with 24 rebounds (six offensive, 18 defensive), six assists, seven turnovers, no steals and three blocks. 
- ASU went 10-of-34 (29.4%) from the field in the opening half including 3-of-11 (27.2%) from behind the arc and 4-of-5 (80%) from the charity stripe with 19 rebounds (seven offensive, 12 defensive), five assists, two turnovers, one steal and no blocks.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 18-of-48 (37.5%) from the floor including 2-of-17 (11.8%) from behind the arc and 18-of-19 (94.7%) from the free throw line with 46 total rebounds (eight offensive, 38 defensive), 19 assists, 19 turnovers, four steals and six blocks on the afternoon.
- The Belles went 16-of-67 (23.9%) from the field in the game including 4-of-28 (14.3%) from deep and 13-of-17 (76.5%) from the charity stripe with 38 rebounds (16 offensive, 22 defensive), 16 assists, seven turnovers, 10 steals and no blocks in the loss.
