COMMERCE, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M finished off their Lone Star Conference road schedule on a high-note on Saturday afternoon as the handed the #3 Texas A&M-Commerce Lions their first loss of the season, 58-55 in front of over 850 fans at The Field House in Commerce, Texas.

- The Lady Buffs were led by 
Abby Spurgin who went 4-of-9 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free throw line to go along with five rebounds as the junior registered her 10
th straight game in double-figures, 
Megan Gamble followed with 14 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists in the win.
- Texas A&M-Commerce was led by Alexus Jones and Dyani Robinson with 14 points each followed by Mykiel Burleson with 10, Agang Tac grabbed five rebounds on the afternoon go to along with five points, two steals and a block.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs went 9-of-14 (64.3%) from the floor in the opening half including 3-of-5 (60%) from deep and 7-of-8 (87.5%) from the free throw line with 11 defensive rebounds, four assists, 13 turnovers, two steals and a pair of blocks.
- TAMUC finished the first half going 10-of-33 (30.3%) from the field including 2-of-11 (18.2%) from behind the arc and 6-of-7 (85.7%) from the charity stripe with 15 rebounds (10 offensive, five defensive), seven assists, eight turnovers, six steals and one block.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT went 17-of-34 (50%) from the floor including 7-of-12 (58.3%) from behind the arc and 17-of-20 (85%) from the free throw line with 26 total rebounds (three offensive, 23 defensive), 11 assists, 24 turnovers, nine steals and seven blocks in the win.
